Terms of use
Using localstatements.com or a LocalStatements license means you agree to these terms.
The service
LocalStatements converts PDF bank statements to CSV, OFX, QBO, and QIF in your browser. Your first statement is free; after that, exporting requires a license. A license covers a year of unlimited use on one machine, including every version we ship during that year. One payment, nothing auto-renews.
Your license
A license key is issued to the email used at purchase, is for use on one machine at a time, and may not be shared, published, resold, or transferred. Keys are signed and carry the purchase email; leaked keys can be revoked in future versions of the software.
What you may not do
Except to the extent a right cannot be waived under applicable law, you agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, translate, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying ideas, algorithms, or methods of the software or any part of it; modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the software; circumvent, disable, or tamper with the license check or the free-statement limit; use the software or its output to build, train, or improve a competing product; or copy, scrape, mirror, or redistribute the software or substantial parts of it.
Your data and your responsibility
Statements are processed on your device and never reach us; see the privacy statement. Verification checks the extracted rows against the statement's own printed balances and flags anything that does not reconcile. It is a strong arithmetic check, not accounting advice: you are responsible for reviewing exports before relying on them in bookkeeping, tax, or legal contexts.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Stripe as merchant of record, and its terms apply to the transaction. For billing questions or problems with a purchase, contact support@localstatements.com and we will sort it out.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The software is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trove Technologies LLC's total liability arising out of or relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; the current version always lives at this page. Material changes apply from the date they are posted and never retroactively shorten a license you already bought. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
