Privacy
The short version: your financial documents stay on your device, we run no tracking, and the only personal data we ever hold is the email tied to a purchased license.
Your statements
Statements are converted entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or seen by us, and there is no server that could receive them. PDF passwords are used on your device only. You can verify all of this yourself: open your browser's network tab while converting, or turn Wi-Fi off first; the converter keeps working.
No accounts, no analytics
There is nothing to sign up for, and the site runs no analytics, trackers, ad pixels, or third-party scripts. Our host (Cloudflare) processes standard web-request logs, such as IP address and browser type, to serve and protect the site, like any website you visit.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Stripe, acting as merchant of record. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us; we never see or store it. After a purchase, Stripe shares with us the email address you used and the purchase reference so we can issue your license key.
What we keep
One record per license: the purchase email, the license key id, the plan, and the issue date. We keep it so we can deliver your key, re-send it if you lose it, and honor your license for its full term. That record is the entire extent of the data we hold about customers, and we do not sell or share it with anyone.
What stays in your browser
Your activated license key and the free-statement marker are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They never leave it; license checks are done on-device against a signature, with no network request. Clearing your browser data removes them; your key can always be pasted in again.
License keys are sent to the email address used at purchase. If you write to support@localstatements.com, we receive your email address and message, and use them only to help you.
