What you get in the spreadsheet

Section headers, page footers, and statement summaries never leak in as fake rows. The file is CSV, and that is what Excel wants
The export is a CSV file, which Excel opens natively with a double click: no import wizard, no macros, no formatting surprises, and it works the same in Google Sheets and Numbers. If your workflow needs .xlsx, save it from Excel once it is open; the data arrives already clean, so there is nothing to fix first.
Every row is checked before it reaches Excel
Bank statements carry their own checksum: each balance must equal the previous balance plus the transaction. Every extracted row is verified against that arithmetic and marked, so an extraction error shows up as a flagged row in the app instead of a silently wrong number three weeks into your bookkeeping. Statements that contradict their own totals are reported, not exported as if fine.
